A 6-month-old doesn’t need a pile of toys. ⁣

💃🏻 She’s learning from everything around her. ⁣A 6-month-old may (or may not) be sitting, rolling, and curious about everything. Give her plenty of floor time and limit time spent in devices like car seats and sitting chairs. ⁣

🫦 A 6-month-old will check out things in his mouth, stretch to reach something interesting, bounce on legs when held, and babble away with pleasure. He can calm himself now which means longer playtimes. He also babbles to get your attention. ⁣

🎉A 6-month-old loves to grasp objects and throw and drop them—this never gets old (right?)⁣

💥They are more communicative and understand more than you think. ⁣
He’s listening and responding to noises and making sounds to express his feelings.⁣

👄Talk about what you’re doing as she’ll understand more than you think. ⁣ Plus, she’ll start to have conversations with you. ⁣

✩ ⁣Lastly, hold back when possible. Observe your baby without disrupting his/her play. This builds focus and independence. ⁣Plus, you’ll learn about his preferences and priorities.⁣

Some of the time, make play interactive. Get down on her/his level and make eye contact. ⁣

🌹Your baby has innate and natural instincts to explore and learn. Our top job as parents is to learn to pause before interrupting a baby who is hard at work. ⁣
